Rose Maciejewski Executive Vice President, Deputy Managing Director Rose Maciejewski was appointed deputy managing director of Ruder Finn West in May 2008, after serving as west coast technology practice leader for three years. Rose has worked with Ruder Finn since the original dotcom boom, creating and directing strategic communications programs that have a strong impact on consumer and technology brands – as measured by both sales leads and online traffic. While at Ruder Finn, Rose has held positions in Chicago, Los Angeles, and she is currently based San Francisco. Rose now directs communication activities for Internet sensation Demand Media and its properties, including LIVESTRONG.COM, eHow.com, Demand Studios and Pluck. Since Ruder Finn began working with Demand Media, the company’s Internet properties have grown faster than Facebook. In 2008, Rose oversaw media activities on the launch of LIVESTRONG.COM, for which the client attributed 54 percent of inbound traffic. As a media strategist for StubHub, the world’s largest ticket marketplace, Rose recently secured the company’s first-ever feature in Sports Illustrated. A long-time student of the Internet, Rose has managed programs for industry luminaries such as Napster, Evite, and Autobytel. She also helps b2b Internet brands such as Specific Media and Interpolls promote their marketing expertise and tools. Rose’s previous client associations have ranged from major consultancies such as Deloitte & Touche, to midmarket enterprise technology providers like Forsythe, Inforte, and Technology Solutions Company (TSC). One of her first technology clients was Spyglass, creators of a web browser that eventually became the basis for Internet Explorer. Prior to Ruder Finn, Rose worked in the travel and tourism industry as a product marketing manager for REZsolutions, Inc. (formerly UTELL International, part of Reed Travel Group), an international provider of technology and marketing solutions for the hospitality industry. As an account executive for NoyesRobertson, a boutique public relations firm, she ran communications efforts for properties such as the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa. She began her career as a marketing coordinator for Hotel Partners, a hotel investment firm acquired by Insignia/ESG. Rose graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts in communication and history from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana. As a result of her work in the community and with the SMC Alumnae Club, Rose was named Saint Mary’s College Outstanding Young Alumna in 2002. In her spare time, she enjoys creating pithy Facebook status updates, doing yoga and downloading music, legally. |
